How many pot lights do I need in a room?
A common starting point is to space lights about 4 to 6 feet apart and divide the ceiling height by two for the spacing in feet. For task areas like kitchen counters, add lights directly above the work zones.
What size pot light should I choose?
4 inch lights suit accent and tight spaces, 5 to 6 inch lights are standard for general room lighting. Larger rooms with high ceilings may use 6 inch lights for more output.
Are LED pot lights dimmable?
Many are, but you need a compatible LED dimmer switch. Check the light's specs for dimmable rating and the dimmer it works with to avoid flicker.
